Mandurah Earthworks
Earthworks in Mandurah — cut and fill, levelling, pad building and compaction. Reshaping a block so what goes on it afterwards actually holds.
Earthworks Mandurah
Where excavation digs a hole for something, earthworks reshapes the block itself — cut and fill to create a level building platform, bulk movement to change how a site sits, compaction so the new profile carries load, and falls set so water leaves. On sloping Mandurah blocks and the acreages out past Dawesville this is often the largest single item in a build, and it is the one that determines whether the slab, driveway and landscaping behind it perform. Our earthworks Mandurah work is compacted and tested to a spec, because filled ground that was never compacted is the most common cause of the slab failures we get called to.
- Cut and fill balanced — Material moved within the site where possible, to cut cartage cost
- Compacted in layers — Fill placed and compacted in lifts, not tipped in and driven over once
- Testing where required — Compaction tested and documented where a builder or certifier needs it
- Falls set deliberately — The finished profile sheds water rather than holding it against a slab
- Honest about scale — We suit residential and subdivision-scale earthworks, not bulk civil

Mandurah Earthworks Services
Reshaping a block so the concrete, structure and landscaping that follow sit on something stable.
Cut & fill
Material cut from the high side and placed on the low side to create a level platform, balanced to reduce cartage.
Site levelling
Blocks levelled for a build, a shed, a pool or a yard, with the finished level set against the surrounds.
Building pad construction
Engineered pads built up and compacted in layers, tested where the certifier requires it.
Bulk fill & sand pads
Imported fill or sand placed and compacted where the natural level has to come up.
Drainage & falls
Site profile shaped so water runs away from structures and toward where it is meant to go.
Retaining preparation
The cut and batter behind a retaining wall formed so the wall and its drainage can be built properly.
Mandurah Earthworks Process
The visible part is moving dirt. The part that matters is how the fill is placed and compacted afterwards. Anything built on poorly compacted fill will settle, and the crack turns up in a slab or a wall a year later where nobody connects it back to the earthworks. So we assess the levels, the soil and the volumes first, then strip and cut to the design. Fill goes back in controlled layers, each one compacted before the next rather than dumped and tracked over. The surface is trimmed to grade, with compaction tested where the job or the certifier requires it.
Levels, Soil & Volume Assessment
We survey the existing levels against the target, check the soil, and work out how much material moves and how much leaves.
Strip & Cut
Topsoil and unsuitable material stripped and set aside or removed, then the cut taken to the design level.
Place & Compact Fill
Fill placed in layers and compacted to spec, with each lift done properly rather than the whole depth at once.
Trim, Test & Hand Over
Final level trimmed, compaction tested and documented where required, then handed over to the builder or the next trade.
Why Choose Our Earthworks Experts in Mandurah
Uncompacted fill looks identical to compacted fill. The difference shows up two years later in the slab.
Compacted in layers, always
Fill placed in lifts and compacted each time. Tipping the full depth and rolling it once is where later settlement comes from.
Tested and documented
Compaction results provided where your builder or certifier needs them, rather than asserted.
Cut and fill balanced on site
We keep material on the block where the design allows, because cartage is usually the biggest line item.
Local ground understood
Nineteen years across Peel region soils — coastal sand, reclaimed fill and reactive clay all behave differently under load.
Concrete-aware levels
We pour slabs as well, so the finished level and falls suit what is going on top of them.
Clear about our scale
Residential and subdivision-scale work. On a bulk civil job we will tell you to engage a larger contractor.
